Escape The Blues Minor Hockey "AA" Tournament

February 4 to February 6, 2011

We are inviting your team to apply for our "Escape the Blues" AA Tournament to be held from Feb 5 to Feb 6, 2010. The tournament will follow all CAHA and GTHL rules and regulations and is open to AA level teams.

Dates and Location

Escape The Blues Tournament runs the weekend of Feb 4 to Feb 6, 2011 at Chesswood Arena, Toronto Ontario. All teams will be accepted upon receiving an application with full payment. All games will be played at Chesswood Arenas. Located at:

Fees and Application
Games - 3 game min, 5 game max
Fees - No Gate Fees
Minor Atom-Midget - $1075.00

Duration of games are three stop time periods as outlined below:
Minor Atom - Peewee: 12 - 12 - 12
Minor Bantam - Midget: 12 - 12 - 15

  Tournament Application Form
All applications must contain a deposit of $600.00 and a post dated cheque for Jan. 2, 2011 for the balance of $475.00. No refunds will be given after Dec 1, 2010. All funds are in Canadian dollars. Please make cheques payable to: The Toronto City Blues.

Registration Requirements
Teams must posses a CAHA or GTHL Certificate Card for the current season and proof of tournament permission to the Tournament Registrar. Managers are requested to register their teams 45 minutes prior to their first game, and all teams must be ready to play 15 minutes prior to their schedualed game time.

Tournament Format & Rules
Format: Top teams in each category will advance to the next round.
  Tie Breaking Rules
In round robin play; points may be awarded per game. Two points for a win, and one point per period.
In the event of a tie, a winner will be determined as follows:
- Head to head results
- the team with the most wins
- the highest percentage of goals (based on goals for divided by the sum of goals for and against)
- team with least number of penalty minutes
- largest spread between goals for and against
In the event of a tie during semi-final and Championship Games, Sudden Death overtime periods of 10 minutes will be played. This will continue until a winner is determined.
